The
Carbon Finance Workshop - Carbon Money Africa will be
held at Pacific Hotel in Lilongwe, Malawi, in March
2012, organised by
Chinansi Foundation in conjunction with
CAFAnet. This
international gathering will bring together experts, NGO & youth
leaders, potential projects developers, policy makers,
entrepreneurs and students to share knowledge and experience on
how to Make Money from Sustainable Carbon Projects; and how to
Save Money from Low Carbon Investments.

NIRAS Denmark and Chinansi Foundation have entered into an agreement meant for developing a Gold Standard new methodology for suppressed demand, off-grid rural electrification. The cooperation will see one or more rural communities electrified either by solar PV or micro-hydro power in Malawi.

In order to strengthen team work and cooperation, Chinansi Foundation and NIRAS visiting team member conducted a series of team building sessions which included project site visits, dinner, boat riding, and socialising.
